We recently took a trip to visit Muslima at our social enterprise coffee cart, currently based at Mile End Leisure Centre at the entrance of GLL Gym.

Our dedicated Job Coach, Ayesha D'Costa has trained Muslima to be an excellent Barista who makes superb coffee! If you're over at Mile End Leisure Centre on Monday's or Thursday's be sure to grab a coffee and support young people with learning disabilities in your local community who are gaining life changing work experience.

After all, they do say a strong coffee before a workout gives you an extra burst of energy!

The coffee cart is open on Monday's and Thursday's.

The transferable employability skills taught prepare individuals for the world of work and independent living, and include:

- Barista training from our partners Climpson & Sons
- Cash handling and card payments
- Food Safety Level 1
- Health & Safety in the Workplace Level 1
- Food preparation
- Customer service training
- Catering for events
- Shopping independently
- Team work/building
- Timekeeping
